This was our last full day in Sydney and we wanted to spend some time in the beautifully restored Queen Victoria Building which is home to a number of mostly high-end shops and some lovely restaurants and cafés. We also called into a couple of department stores but didn't stay long as, in truth, there was nothing we needed.
We were not hungry as we had had our usual substantial breakfast but felt it
would be rude not to indulge in tea and cake at the Mozart café which we had
visited on our last trip to Sydney. Graeme had apple strudel and
Elizabeth had a Portuguese tart, both washed down with a pot of tea.
As usual it was getting hot so we returned to the hotel for a beer, followed by
our usual afternoon tea. We then spent time sorting our case for Melbourne
before popping back to Millesime for our evening drink.
